Meta Rolls Out Improved Analytics For Threads Creators
Meta has rolled out enhanced analytics tools for Threads creators, offering deeper insights into content performance and audience engagement as part of its ongoing platform development.

Enhanced Dashboard Capabilities
Threads users can now access more granular analytics by tapping on metrics within the Insights dashboard. The expanded features allow creators to break down engagement by specific interaction types—including likes, replies, quotes, and reposts—while providing detailed follower demographics with geographic data showing top cities and countries, as well as age ranges and gender information.
“We’re doing more to make Threads the best place for sharing fresh perspectives, and continuing to help creators build and grow their communities,” Meta stated in its announcement.

Cross-Platform Discovery Tracking
A key addition to the analytics suite is the ability to monitor content discovery beyond the Threads app itself. Creators can now track where their content appears across Meta’s ecosystem, including when eligible posts are recommended to users on Instagram and Facebook, extending potential reach significantly.

This feature complements the performance comparison tools that enable creators to identify content trends through a new chart displaying views and interactions over customizable periods ranging from seven to 90 days.
Platform Growth
The analytics improvements follow several feature enhancements introduced in recent months. In May, Meta added multi-link support, allowing users to include up to five links in their profile bios, along with link performance tracking and weekly metric recaps.

Internal data cited by Meta indicates that posts tagged with topics “generally receive more views than those without,” highlighting the effectiveness of the platform’s topical organization system in improving content discovery.
This analytics expansion comes after Meta’s global rollout of advertising on Threads in April, which opened the platform to all eligible advertisers worldwide. While Meta CFO Susan Li previously indicated that Threads is not expected to be “a meaningful driver of 2025 revenue,” the platform continues to grow toward CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s projection of potentially reaching one billion users in the coming years.
As noted by TechCrunch, Threads is catching up to its top competitor, X, in terms of mobile app users. In June, Threads’ mobile app saw 115.1 million daily active users, up 127.8% year-over-year. Meanwhile, X reached 132 million daily actives, with its year-over-year growth declining by 15.2%.
