Threads Updates Features With Multi-Link Support, Enhanced Analytics
Meta has introduced new profile features for its Threads platform, enabling users to add multiple links and access enhanced performance metrics to better connect with their communities.
The update allows users to add up to five links to their profile bios, expanding from the previous single-link limitation. This feature aims to help creators and business accounts showcase various content outlets, including podcasts, newsletters, and articles.
“Many people already add links to their profiles to express themselves and their interests,” Meta stated in its announcement update. “Now, you can add up to five links to your bio, helping your community find your podcasts, articles, newsletters, and more.”
The multi-link feature complements the April 24 update that introduced the ability to add up to ten topic tags to user profiles, which Meta reports has increased content discoverability.

The company also launched link performance tracking capabilities, enabling users to monitor visitor traffic to links shared in both bio sections and posts. This analytics expansion includes a new weekly recap feature in the Insights section, offering users week-over-week comparisons of post metrics.
The enhanced Insights dashboard provides data on total views, new follower acquisition, post volume, and reply engagement. Users will also begin receiving personalized recommendations for improving community engagement.

Content Discovery Improvements
Internal data cited in the announcement reveals that posts tagged with topics “generally receive more views than those without,” indicating the effectiveness of Meta’s topical organization system in improving content discovery.
This focus on discoverability follows Meta’s global expansion of advertising on Threads announced in April, which opened the platform to all eligible advertisers worldwide. The platform now serves over 320 million monthly active users.
User Control Features
The May update builds upon features introduced in April that enhance content control, including:
- Follower-only replies and quote posts
- Customizable feed ordering
- Enhanced video player with improved navigation controls
- Refined approach to political content
“We’ll continue listening to your feedback and improving Threads to make sure it’s a place where you can have open exchanges, reach new audiences, and connect with people who share your interests,” Meta stated in the announcement.
