Fox’s free ad-supported streaming service Tubi has signed comedian, actor, and digital creator Kevin “KevOnStage” Fredericks to a multi-project, multi-year slate deal, its most expansive creator partnership to date, per Deadline.

The agreement builds on “Safe Space,” a comedy series Fredericks co-created, directed, executive produced, and starred in, which premiered last November. The show’s eight-episode second season premieres in June, with Season 3 slated for July 2027.

Upcoming Projects

The slate adds “The Airport,” a 10-episode scripted workplace comedy set in what Tubi describes as the country’s most dysfunctional airport, premiering this November. Fredericks will also release “Grief Sucks,” his first comedy special for a major streamer, covering grief and family, on February 21, 2027. Two original feature films, a holiday comedy and a horror comedy, follow in 2027 and 2028, respectively.

“This slate is what happens when a platform believes in a creator’s full vision and gives them room to grow,” Fredericks said in a statement. “Tubi has given me the platform to do it all, from producing my first stand-up special to developing my first films, while also creating opportunities for up-and-coming creators, especially Black creators whose voices deserve to be amplified.”

Growing Creator Slate

Fredericks was part of Tubi’s inaugural exclusive creator series slate, announced in November 2025, alongside Joey Graceffa, TheOneShu, Bigg Jah, Rock Squad, and Dan & Riya. Since Tubi launched its “Tubi for Creators” program in June 2025, digital-first creator content on the platform has grown to over 20,000 episodes from more than 300 creators.

The platform has since announced original series with Keith Lee, Bob the Drag Queen, and Sofi Manassyan, and most recently announced “The Fast Lane,” a live altcast experience hosted by Michelle Khare and Jeremiah Burton, tied to the 2026 Formula 1 season.

Fredericks’ previous Tubi work includes “Bald Brothers,” a fully improvised comedy series co-created with comedian Tony Baker. He has also appeared in the BET+ comedy “Church,” TBS’s “Friday Night Vibes,” and the podcast “Not My Best Moment,” produced with iHeartMedia and Unanimous Media.
