YouTube creators Mackenzie Turner and Lael Hansen will launch their latest series, “The Besties in Haunted High,” exclusively on Tubi, marking creator studio pocket.watch‘s move onto another major streaming platform. The six-episode series debuts globally on October 13.

According to Deadline, the half-hour episodes follow the pair as their school’s empty Halloween dance turns into a nightmare, trapping them inside to complete six games and escape a supernatural figure hunting them down. The series is based on “The Besties,” Turner and Hansen’s joint YouTube channel, and marks the latest scripted format pocket.watch has built around existing creator audiences.

Turner, pocket.watch Chief Content Officer Albie Hecht and CEO and founder Chris M. Williams serve as executive producers. Turner, Hecht, and Carin Davis co-created the show, based on an original concept by Turner. Hecht is also directing.

Turner and Hansen’s YouTube channels total more than 13 million subscribers collectively, combining Turner’s 7.8 million, Hansen’s 1.9 million, and their joint “Besties” channel’s 3.3 million.

“Mackenzie has built one of the most engaged fanbases in the creator space, and ‘The Besties in Haunted High’ reflects the caliber of premium, scripted storytelling her audience has been asking for,” Hecht said.

“What started as a series our community fell in love with on YouTube is now reaching an even bigger audience through Tubi,” Turner and Hansen said in a joint statement. “Together with pocket.watch, we’ve turned it into a bold, creator-led series, free for everyone to watch.”

A Platform Roster That Keeps Growing

The Tubi deal extends a distribution footprint that already spans more than 40 platforms for pocket.watch, including Hulu, Disney+, Peacock, Paramount+, Amazon Prime Video, The Roku Channel, and Samsung TV Plus. Turner is a familiar face across that slate: she already has an individual series streaming on Hulu alongside “Rabbit Hole,” pocket.watch’s 36-creator ensemble series that premiered on Disney+ and Hulu in July with a combined cast following of 675 million.

Pocket.watch has three other creator originals in production. “Love Diana: Music Hunters,” made with Kids Diana Show in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, launches on Prime Video in January 2027. A JJ & Mikey holiday special with gaming duo Maizen premieres on several premium platforms later this year. And “Captain Future Pirate: Chedda Quest,” featuring creators DeeDee Show, Kaven Adventures, Caleb Kids Show, Kamdenboy & Kyraboo, and My PB&J, is set for pocket.watch’s own subscription service, Ryan and Friends PLUS.
