Amelia Dimoldenberg, creator and host of celebrity interview series “Chicken Shop Date,” will star in and produce a romantic comedy for Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion Pictures.

Gloria Sanchez Productions will produce the film alongside Dimoldenberg. Television writer and producer Sarah Heyward will write the script for the project, which centers on a by-the-book journalist whose planned life changes when a routine celebrity interview turns into an unexpected romance.

Dimoldenberg built her following through “Chicken Shop Date,” which features her interviewing celebrities, including Jennifer Lawrence and Charli xcx, at London fried chicken restaurants. She produces the series through her production company, Dimz, Inc., which also created her newest series, “Passenger Princess.”

She has received honors at the Streamys and the Webbys and has served as the Academy Awards red-carpet correspondent for two consecutive years. She will return for a third year in March 2026.

In August 2025, Dimoldenberg launched Dimz, Inc. Academy, a program designed to provide young people from all backgrounds with access to creative media industries.

Gloria Sanchez Productions, led by Jessica Elbaum and Will Ferrell, produced “Booksmart,” “Will & Harper,” and Nicholas Stoller’s “You’re Cordially Invited” for Amazon.
