YouTube Partner Program To Launch In Armenia This Spring

YouTube announced the launch of its Partner Program in Armenia this spring. The expansion adds Armenia to a global network of more than 3 million creators who use the platform’s monetization tools.

The program provides access to multiple revenue streams, including advertising revenue, YouTube Premium revenue share, channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, Super Thanks, and YouTube Shopping features. Partners also receive dedicated creator support and access to YouTube’s Creator Support team.

Creators in Armenia must meet standard eligibility criteria to join the program. According to YouTube’s Partner Program documentation, channels require 500 subscribers and either 3,000 public watch hours in the past 12 months or 3 million public Shorts views in the past 90 days to apply. Ad revenue access unlocks at 1,000 subscribers with 4,000 public watch hours in the past 12 months or 10 million public Shorts views in the past 90 days.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, said in a LinkedIn post that the expansion represents “an important step for strengthening Armenia’s digital economy, empowering our fast-growing community of creators, and supporting global visibility of Armenian content, culture, and innovation.”

Hayrapetyan added that “the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia remains committed to working with global partners to ensure Armenian creators and technology companies are fully integrated into the global digital ecosystem.”

YouTube reported it has paid more than $100 billion to creators, artists, and media companies over the past four years. The company paid more than $70 billion from 2021 to 2023, according to its Partner Program documentation.

In a 2026 platform letter, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan outlined plans to expand commerce tools and brand partnership workflows. Mohan wrote that YouTube aims to become “a premier shopping destination because viewers trust product and brand recommendations from creators” and said the company is building tools to make transactions possible without leaving the YouTube app.
