Snap Names Anmol Malhotra Global Head of Content and Partnerships
Snap Inc. has promoted Anmol Malhotra to Global Head of Content and Partnerships, giving him oversight of Snapchat’s creator ecosystem, content strategy, editorial, community, and global partnerships across sports, media, entertainment, and music.
In his new position, Malhotra will oversee Snap’s relationships with creators, publishers, broadcasters, leagues, rights holders, labels, and strategic content partners worldwide. He will also lead international growth initiatives across North America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
Malhotra joined Snap in 2015 and most recently led the company’s sports and media partnerships organization, where he worked with broadcasters and rights holders including NBC, ESPN, NFL, NBA, UFC, FIFA, the IOC, and the UK’s Channel 4. Before joining Snap, he worked at global asset management firm BlackRock. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.
Malhotra assumes the role following the departure of Jim Shepherd, formerly Snap’s Senior Director of Global Content Partnerships, who left to join Meta as Senior Director of Content Partnerships.
Business Context
The appointment comes as Snap works to grow revenue streams beyond advertising. Snapchat+, the platform’s paid subscription service, has surpassed 25 million subscribers and anchors a direct revenue portfolio with an annualized run rate exceeding $1 billion.
Snap reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of $1.53 billion, up 12% year-over-year, while narrowing its net loss to $89 million from $139.6 million in the same period a year earlier. Daily active users reached 483 million in Q1, up 5% year-over-year and a sequential gain from 474 million in Q4 2025.
Content and partnerships will also factor into Snap’s upcoming consumer launch of Specs, its standalone augmented reality glasses. Snap has invested more than $3 billion in its AR hardware efforts over 11 years and has secured Qualcomm as a long-term chip partner for the platform.
