Tubi Expands Creator Content: Launches Exclusive Creator Series Slate, Adds 21 Kickstarter-Funded Films
Fox Corporation’s ad-supported streaming service Tubi announced its first slate of exclusive digital-first creator series from notable online personalities while simultaneously adding 21 Kickstarter-funded independent films to its platform. The dual content expansion demonstrates Tubi’s growing investment in both creator-led programming and independent filmmaking as the platform reaches more than 100 million monthly active users streaming 1 billion hours monthly.
Six New Projects
The platform’s inaugural exclusive creator series slate features projects from Joey Graceffa, KevOnStage, Rock Squad, TheOneShu, Bigg Jah, and Dan & Riya. This initiative follows Tubi’s recently announced partnership with Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat entertainment company to debut four exclusive creator-driven films led by Kinigra Deon and the 85 South team in 2026.
“We’re responding to our viewers’ growing appetite for bold, original storytelling by doubling down on exclusive content from digital-first creators,” said Rich Bloom, General Manager, Creator Programs & Executive Vice President, Business Development at Tubi. “The investment is paying off, viewers who start their Tubi journey with creators show stronger retention – proof that these stories truly resonate with our audience and provide an engaged, incremental audience for creators.”
The new exclusive series include a continuation of Joey Graceffa’s “Escape The Night” franchise, two comedy series from KevOnStage (Kevin Fredericks), a vampire prequel from Rock Squad, an anthology series from TheOneShu, and new programming from Bigg Jah and Dan & Riya. Several projects leverage existing creator success on the platform, with Tubi deepening investments in talent that has demonstrated audience engagement.
Kickstarter Partnership
Concurrent with the creator series announcement, Tubi launched an exclusive collection featuring 21 Kickstarter-funded films making their debut on the platform through the FilmStream Collective, a joint initiative between Kickstarter and Tubi launched in June 2025.
The collection, featured on Tubi’s homepage, includes horror films, comedies, dramas, documentaries, and romances that showcase diverse filmmakers including women, Black creators, LGBTQ+ voices, and first-time directors. Notable titles include Andrew Bowser’s “The Decedent,” Alex Kugelman’s “Don’t Trip,” Fairfax Pictures’ “The GeeChee Witch: A Book Hag Story,” and the documentary “God Said Give ‘Em Drum Machines” directed by Kristian R. Hill.
The FilmStream Collective combines Kickstarter’s community-powered funding model with Tubi’s distribution network to address two key challenges for independent filmmakers: securing funding and distribution.
Expansion of Creator Programming
Digital-first creator content on Tubi has grown to over 10,000 titles from more than 100 creators, doubling from the 5,000 episodes reported in August.
That month, Tubi added content from Jimmy Donaldson (MrBeast), Jomboy Media, CelinaSpookyBoo, and Steven He. The platform is also premiering “SKIT,” a new creator-led comedy from veteran producer and former TV executive Evan Shapiro featuring creators with established fan bases, including Nataly Aukar and Lukas Arnold.
The Hartbeat partnership, announced in late October, signals Tubi’s shift toward financing and developing exclusive creator-driven projects. The multi-title deal includes “Sundown,” a supernatural thriller written, directed by, and starring Kinigra Deon, and “85 South: Dead End,” featuring DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, and Karlous Miller.
Tubi has strengthened its creator-focused initiatives by appointing former TikTok executive Kudzi Chikumbu as VP of Creator Partnerships earlier this year, working alongside Rich Bloom, who joined as General Manager of Creator Programs in April.
The platform’s content strategy focuses on coming-of-age stories, comedy, and thriller & horror titles, aligning with viewer preferences while also providing opportunities for creator expression.
