Tubi Partners With Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat For Exclusive Creator Content Deal

Fox Corporation’s ad-supported streaming service Tubi is launching its first-ever exclusive creator content slate as part of its Tubi for Creators program. The company announced a multi-title deal with Hartbeat, Kevin Hart’s global multi-platform entertainment company, to debut four original, creator-driven films in 2026.

The partnership will feature projects led by digital creator Kinigra Deon and the team behind “85 South Show” – DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, and Karlous Miller. This collaboration aims to propel diverse storytellers into the broader entertainment ecosystem while giving them creative ownership and visibility across Tubi’s 100 million monthly active users.

“At Tubi, we’re building a space where emerging and established creators can bring bold, breakthrough ideas to life and reach new audiences on our platform,” said Rich Bloom, General Manager, Creator Programs & Executive Vice President, Business Development at Tubi.

First Projects Announced

The multi-title deal begins with “Sundown,” a supernatural thriller written, directed by and starring Kinigra Deon. The film follows Black college friends who take a wrong turn into a racially hostile town where local myths become terrifyingly real.

The slate also includes “85 South: Dead End,” featuring DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, and Karlous Miller in a satirical horror-comedy about a Southern road trip that leads to a mysteriously offbeat town. Two additional films will be announced at a later date.

“Hartbeat has always been about championing the creators who shape culture and move audiences,” said Jeff Clanagan, President and Chief Distribution Officer at Hartbeat. “Through this partnership with Tubi, we’re excited to give talent like Kinigra Deon, DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, and Karlous Miller the space to bring their authentic voices – and their audiences – to a global streaming platform.”

Expanding Creator Strategy

The exclusive content deal comes as Tubi significantly scales its creator-focused initiatives. The platform recently appointed former TikTok executive Kudzi Chikumbu as VP of Creator Partnerships to accelerate the efforts, working alongside Bloom, who joined in April.

Digital-first creator content on Tubi has now grown to nearly 10,000 titles, expanding from 5,000 episodes reported in August. This growth reflects the platform’s broader mission to champion new voices and expand access to Hollywood for emerging talent.

Kinigra Deon is one of the inaugural creators in the Tubi for Creators program, with her digital series including “Vampire Siblings” and “College Life” among the first creator-led titles added to Tubi’s collection.

The Hartbeat partnership, brokered by Jeff Clanagan at Hartbeat and Tubi’s Sam Harowitz, extends an ongoing relationship that previously brought Hartbeat-produced TV series and films to the platform.

While Tubi’s creator program initially focused on non-exclusive content, this deal with Hartbeat signals the company’s move into financing and developing exclusive, creator-driven projects, as previously outlined in its program strategy.
