Tubi Surpasses 5,000 Episodes Of Creator Content, Taps TikTok Exec To Lead Creator Partnerships

Tubi has expanded its digital-first creator content collection to over 5,000 episodes with new partnerships featuring MrBeast, Alan’s Universe, Jomboy Media, CelinaSpookyBoo, and Steven He, marking significant growth for Fox Corporation’s free ad-supported streaming service.

The company also appointed Kudzi Chikumbu, former Global Head of Creator Marketing at TikTok, as VP of Creator Partnerships to accelerate its creator-focused initiatives. Chikumbu will work alongside Rich Bloom, who joined Tubi in April as General Manager of Creator Programs and EVP of Business Development.

“We’re committed to building a bridge to Hollywood for creators to help them reach new audiences. Tubi is a platform for bold, breakthrough work, and these 5,000 episodes are just the beginning,” said Bloom in the announcement.

Chikumbu, whose appointment comes with recognition from Fortune’s 40 Under 40, The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen, and other industry accolades, expressed enthusiasm about joining Tubi: “I’m thrilled to join Tubi at a time when creators are redefining entertainment. Tubi’s dedication to empowering creators with creative freedom and meaningful incremental audience reach is unmatched.”

Creator Partnerships

Tubi’s new creator partnerships reflect its focus on reaching younger, multicultural audiences across various content categories:

  • Jimmy Donaldson (MrBeast) will bring seasons 6-8 of his YouTube channel to Tubi, complementing his existing live channel on the platform. Donaldson has amassed over 421 million YouTube subscribers and nearly one billion followers across social platforms.
  • Jomboy Media, founded by Jimmy O’Brien and Jake Storiale, will bring sports content, including “Talkin’ Baseball” and “Talkin’ Yanks,” to the platform.
  • Alan Chikin Chow will bring his “Alan’s Universe” series, featuring his signature mix of action, comedy, and storytelling that has garnered over 90 million YouTube subscribers.
  • CelinaSpookyBoo (Celina Myers) will introduce a new long-form spooky series to Tubi.
  • Steven He will make his breakthrough comedy series “Fish Bowl” available on the platform.

Program Strategy

Since its June launch, the “Tubi for Creators” program has expanded from six creators and several hundred videos to now encompassing over 5,000 episodes. The initiative focuses on creators already producing high-quality mid-form and long-form content with strong production values and compelling storytelling.

Currently, creators can bring existing content to the platform on a non-exclusive basis, with plans to develop exclusive content with production funding in the future.

The creator program builds on Tubi’s existing initiatives, including Stubios, partnerships with Kickstarter for independent films, and collaborations with The Blacklist for screenplay submissions.

Tubi reports reaching over 100 million monthly active users, with a content library of nearly 300,000 movies and TV episodes.
