Tribeca Festival has announced an extended deadline for its tenth annual Tribeca X Awards, giving social media creators until March 4, 2025 to submit their brand-supported storytelling work.
The 2025 Tribeca X Awards, taking place June 9-10 at Spring Studios in New York City, will include a dedicated “Creator/Influencer Collaboration” category recognizing the growing creator economy and brand-creator collaborations.
This category celebrates relationships that enable creators to transform their passions into careers while helping brands reach new audiences through original storytelling.
“All work premiered after January 1, 2024, is eligible, including projects that will premiere before the 2025 Festival begins,” according to the submission guidelines. Eligible projects must contain storytelling elements and have been produced with brand collaboration, support, or funding.
Industry Event Offers Networking and Recognition
The Tribeca X program serves as a convergence point for executives, creators, and professionals across entertainment, marketing, media, and advertising industries.
Official selections receive Festival laurels, passes to the 2025 Tribeca Festival (June 4-15), promotional support across Tribeca channels, and networking opportunities with advertising and entertainment professionals.
Winners are determined by a jury of industry leaders. In addition to category awards, special juried awards will recognize projects for Social Impact and Environmental Impact across all categories.
The Tribeca X Pass, priced at $699 (plus processing fee), provides access to all Tribeca X programming, including panel conversations, keynote presentations, networking events, screenings, and the awards ceremony. New this year, pass holders gain access to the inaugural Creators Forum, a multi-day summit for the broader filmmaking community.
Submission fees for the extended deadline are $575. Interested creators and brands can submit their work through FilmFreeway, with detailed instructions on Tribeca’s website.
Last year, the Tribeca Festival organized a creator vertical in partnership with Whalar Group, bridging Hollywood with the creator economy by spotlighting creators as storytellers, community builders, and publishers redefining entertainment.
“Tribeca goes where our audiences go,” Jane Rosenthal, co-founder and CEO of Tribeca Enterprises, said in a statement at the time. “We’re curious about innovative storytelling formats like social media used by filmmakers and creators to reach audiences.”
