EA Launches ‘Battlefield 6’ Season 1 Twitch Drops With Exclusive Creator Window

Electronic Arts Inc. announced Twitch Drops for “Battlefield 6” Season 1, offering viewers exclusive in-game rewards through a tiered viewing system that begins with a 48-hour exclusive window for select creators.

The Twitch Drops program launched December 2 at 7 a.m. PT with an exclusive 48-hour period featuring four creators: Cpt_Caty, 小葉喔 (NCCHFPS), ottr, and YourBigBrotherSteve. EA selected these channels based on their “significant efforts towards the program,” referring to the Battlefield Creator Program the company launched in October.

During this exclusive window ending December 4 at 7 a.m. PT, viewers can earn rewards by watching any of the four designated streams in the “Battlefield 6” category. The program then expands to all “Battlefield 6” streams from December 4 at 7 a.m. PT through December 9 at 7 a.m. PT.

Reward Structure and Technical Requirements

The Twitch Drops program uses a time-based progression system requiring cumulative viewing hours to unlock four items. Viewers receive the “Bet on Death” Vehicle Decal after one hour of watching, the “Death and Taxes” Weapons Sticker after two hours, the “Ready Up” Player Card after three hours, and the “Gallow” Weapon Package for the M87A1 Shotgun after four hours.

EA describes the shotgun package as combining “a bit of class with showstopping close-quarters firepower.”

Participants must link their EA and Twitch accounts before earning rewards. Completed drops appear automatically in users’ Twitch Drops Inventory and must be claimed within 24 hours. Once claimed, rewards become available in both “Battlefield 6” and the free-to-play “REDSEC” title after logging into either game.

The Twitch Drops program applies exclusively to “Battlefield 6” streams, not “REDSEC” broadcasts, though earned rewards function across both titles.

Creator Program Context

The Twitch Drops initiative represents EA’s latest creator engagement effort following the October launch of its Battlefield Creator Program. That program introduced a challenge-based rewards system in which participants earn points through in-game performance and content-creation activities, redeemable for digital items, merchandise, cash payments, and exclusive experiences.

“This program is designed to build and grow with our creators and their communities,” EA stated in its October announcement. “Our goal is for this program to be the epicenter of creator content that can evolve alongside creator input and experience.”

The Creator Program requires participants to meet audience thresholds, including 50 average concurrent livestream viewers, 3,000 average views on long-form content, 5,000 average views on short-form content, or 2,000 followers on any social platform.
