Creator Marketing Platform Collective Voice Announces Closure
Collective Voice, a creator monetization platform that served 140,000 creators and 22,000 brands, announced it will shut down operations after more than a decade.
The company disclosed the closure in a statement to its creator community, saying it had “made the decision to wind down the Collective Voice platform worldwide and discontinue services” after deep consideration. The announcement marks the end of operations for a platform that launched in 2008 as ShopStyle Collective and was rebranded in March 2023.
The platform provided creators with affiliate tools, brand partnership opportunities, and educational resources. Core features included link-in-bio storefronts, automated direct messages, and real-time analytics dashboards.
Collective Voice operated as a dual-sided marketplace connecting vetted creators with brand partners across multiple verticals. While the company established its initial market position in fashion and shopping content, it expanded significantly beyond those categories. Sales for non-fashion retailers working with Collective Voice increased fourfold over three years before the 2023 rebrand.
The company recently introduced two product updates: a Gifting Portal for managing brand product samples and an AI-powered Instagram direct message automation tool called Enhanced Shop the Look “Smart Reply.”
Platform Growth, Partnerships, and Recent Initiatives
Collective Voice reported 23% year-over-year revenue growth in 2023, outpacing the industry average of 18%. Campaign revenue more than doubled from 2019, when the business expanded beyond affiliate marketing services.
The platform recently reported a 42% increase in creator retention following the March 2025 launch of its “Creator-in-Residence” program. The company also noted a 35% lift in affiliate linking activity across its network.
In October 2025, Collective Voice appointed Amani Richardson as its second “Creator-in-Residence,” succeeding inaugural program leader Chanel Tyler. “Collective Voice changed everything for me and helped me become a full-time entrepreneur,” Tyler said at the time.
The platform worked with brands including Biossance and Newell Brands.
Creator Elly Brown, who joined the platform in 2015, previously described the service’s analytics capabilities: “The wealth of information and analytics they provide allows me to create better content. I can see in real-time what is doing well and what’s not and create or tweak content accordingly.”
