True Crime Podcast ‘COLD’ Launches Ad-Free Subscription Club on Fox’s Supercast Platform

Red Seat Ventures, the Fox Corporation-owned creator media company, through its subscription platform Supercast, has launched the “COLD Insider Club,” giving fans of the investigative true crime podcast “COLD” ad-free listening and direct access to host and journalist Dave Cawley.

The club is the first premium subscription offering for “COLD,” the narrative series produced by KSL Podcasts. Subscribers get ad-free episodes, early access to new installments, exclusive bonus content, subscriber Q&As with Cawley, and a monthly live hangout. Founding members pay $3.99 per month, a 20% discount locked in for life for the first 1,000 subscribers, with an annual plan saving a further 17%. Gift subscriptions are also available.

“COLD” is now in its fourth season, with each season built around a single missing persons case. The current season, “Blamed on Bundy: The Disappearance of Nancy Baird,” re-examines a 1975 case long attributed to serial killer Ted Bundy. Previous seasons covered the disappearance of Susan Powell, a murder-for-hire plot connected to Joyce Yost, and the 1985 disappearance of Sheree Warren.

The launch follows Red Seat Ventures’ acquisition of Supercast in February 2026. That deal brought advertising and subscription monetization for podcast creators under one provider, and Supercast’s top 10 podcasters already gross more than $26 million a year from subscriptions alone, according to the company. Supercast content is available through its own mobile app or any standard podcast player.

The “COLD Insider Club” also extends a run of monetization moves for Red Seat Ventures since Fox acquired the company in February 2025. In October 2025, Red Seat signed a distribution and advertising sales agreement reportedly worth $150 million with Audiochuck, producer of “Crime Junkie.” The following month, it secured an exclusive ad sales agreement with The 33rd Team covering multiple NFL-related podcasts. The “COLD” launch adds a direct-to-fan subscription product to that advertising-focused portfolio, applying the combined model Red Seat outlined when it acquired Supercast to the KSL Podcasts series.
