TikTok Launches ‘Community Fest 2026’ With Creator Academy, Global LIVE Tournament
TikTok has announced “Community Fest 2026,” a summer-long program combining educational workshops, in-app competitions, and community-building events for LIVE creators. Now in its third year, the initiative launches in-app on June 11 and concludes with in-person celebrations around the world in August 2026.
Participating creators can complete in-app missions to earn points while streaming, compete on daily leaderboards, and unlock community growth milestones through LIVE interactions. TikTok reported that over two million creators participated in “Community Fest” in 2025.
Creator Academy
This year’s program introduces the “Community Fest Creator Academy,” a global workshop series streamed on @tiktok_livefest and regional TikTok LIVE accounts, including @tiktoklive_us. The curriculum covers three areas: foundational streaming techniques (LIVE 101), real-time audience engagement (The Art of Connection), and using TikTok LIVE tools and campaigns to build dedicated audiences (Building Your Community).
A cohort of U.S.-based TikTok LIVE creators will lead the sessions, drawing on their own growth experiences on the platform. Jasmine Wesley (@itsjasminewesley), a bilingual singer whose work spans Latin, soul, and acoustic genres, joins violinist Clejan (@thetrapviolinist), who blends classical training with hip-hop and trap. Creator Venti (@ventisfit), known for horror gameplay and comedic commentary, completes the U.S. lineup. The series launches June 10 at 1:15 p.m. PT on @tiktok_livefest and @tiktoklive_us.

Match Mania
TikTok will also run “Match Mania,” a bracket-style global LIVE tournament, as part of “Community Fest 2026.” The competition spans three stages: a Regional Qualifier from June 26 to July 2, a Group Stage from July 4 to July 7, and a Global Finals from July 9 to July 11. Viewers can support their preferred creators and unlock opportunities to earn rewards throughout the tournament. TikTok says the format enables creators to expand their communities and engage new audiences across regions.
The program arrives as live streaming gains traction as a primary income source. According to a recent Whatnot report, 53% of live sellers now derive most of their annual revenue from live commerce, up from 41% in 2024, with the number of full-time live sellers rising 20% year over year. Sellers across platforms report spending an average of 23 hours per week livestreaming and managing their businesses.
