BBC Studios Names VCCP Media’s Lindsay Turner VP of Digital Growth to Scale Ad Revenue

BBC Studios Digital Brands has appointed Lindsay Turner as VP Digital Growth and Strategy to lead its advertising proposition and commercial partnerships, the company announced in a press release.

Turner joins from VCCP Media, where she served as Managing Director. She previously spent four years at LADbible Group and held CEO roles at Spark Foundry and Blue 449. Her remit covers commercial partnerships across the full portfolio, including platform relationships with YouTube and TikTok, client and rights-holder relationships, and global go-to-market delivery.

The appointment follows a period of revenue growth for the business. In FY25/26, total digital revenue grew 23% year-on-year, YouTube revenue increased 22%, and branded content revenue rose 124%. The business generated 7 billion ad impressions across its YouTube Network and CID offering and recorded 15.1 billion YouTube views, up 21%, according to the press release.

YouTube Footprint

BBC Studios Digital Brands retains the #1 position for YouTube watch time in its global competitor set for the second consecutive year, with watch time more than double that of its nearest competitor, Netflix, in the measured set, according to the press release. The portfolio spans approximately 150 channels across 17 languages, including two of YouTube’s top 1% channels globally, and reaches 350 million people.

The business connects advertisers with audiences around IP, including “Bluey,” “Doctor Who,” “BBC Earth,” and “Top Gear.” “Bluey” previously reached 10 million YouTube subscribers and received YouTube’s Diamond Creator Award. BBC Studios has also announced plans to triple its investment in original digital content. Seventy-seven percent of watch time now comes through TV devices. The U.S. accounts for 33% of watch time and 54% of revenue, while under-34s represent 43% of adult channel audiences and 58% across kids’ channels.

Jasmine Dawson, SVP at BBC Studios Digital Brands, said Turner’s experience in building high-value partnerships and shaping go-to-market strategy “will be key to ensuring our commercial model is as strong and ambitious as the content itself.”

Turner said her focus will be on “helping advertisers and partners understand that opportunity, and on building the commercial relationships that will take it into its next phase of growth.”
