Court Filings Reveal How MrBeast Pitches Brands

Court documents filed in an ongoing lawsuit between MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) and his food-industry business partner offer a detailed look at how the creator’s company pitches and prices partnerships with major brands, including sponsorship proposals sent to Slack, Sony, and Walmart and a rate card showing what advertisers pay to appear in his videos.

The filings show that in early 2024, when Donaldson had roughly half his current subscriber count, a 30- to 45-second sponsored segment on his main YouTube channel cost around $2.5 million, according to a company rate card cited in the documents. A TikTok or YouTube Shorts video paired with a main-channel ad ran an additional $500,000, while placing MrBeast branding on a company website cost as much as $1 million a month.

Board meeting materials from mid-2024 stated the company had contracted $91 million in brand deals heading into 2025, including $15 million from T-Mobile for four video promotions and $12.5 million from Amazon for five main-channel ads, though an exact timeframe for the figure was not specified.

The proposals, reviewed by Business Insider among hundreds of pages tied to the litigation, show a consistent pitch: massive reach, a young mobile-first audience, and MrBeast himself as the through-line connecting a brand to that audience.

The Slack proposal, dated August 2023, sought a 12-month, $15 million marketing partnership aimed at driving small businesses and creators to sign up for Slack’s self-serve product. Deliverables included four main-channel ad reads, a three-part YouTube series on how MrBeast’s team uses Slack internally, dedicated Instagram and X posts, and rights to use MrBeast’s name and likeness on a co-branded landing page.

The proposal cited Slack messages showing Donaldson volunteering that he had used the platform “for years” and knew creators and small businesses who would be interested, and argued that creators are themselves small businesses Slack should court.

The Walmart proposal, from late 2022, sought $8 million to $10 million to fund a video in which Donaldson would attempt to buy everything inside a Walmart Supercenter, a roughly 187,000-square-foot store carrying an estimated 142,000 products. Internal materials projected the video would draw more than 100 million views and generate buzz “all over the internet,” with purchased products distributed to communities in need through Beast Philanthropy. A February 2023 board presentation showed the company expected $8 million in revenue from Walmart that year, though Business Insider reported the video was never made.

The Sony proposal, from March 2023, offered three tiered packages built around Sony’s INZONE gaming headsets, ranging from $150,000 to $1.275 million, with deliverables spanning Instagram Reels and Stories, Beast Reacts and MrBeast Gaming video integrations, and bulk shipments of Sony Bravia televisions to MrBeast’s operation.

Across all three pitches, MrBeast’s team leaned on scale rather than granular audience data, citing subscriber counts, monthly views, and unique viewer figures without breaking out audience composition by platform or region, details more commonly requested of smaller creators with less leverage.

Bryce Adams, U.S. Influencer Lead for WPP’s Goat Agency, told Business Insider the pitches show MrBeast’s company positioning itself “like we’re an NBC.” Imogen Coles, Head of Influence in EMEA for Ogilvy, said the proposals stood out for laying out costs and deliverables clearly upfront, something she said not every creator does.

The materials were filed as exhibits in MrBeast’s litigation with his former food-industry business partner, with case documents dated between July and October 2026.
