Jubilee Media to Stream First Live Midterm Election Results Coverage on YouTube

Jubilee Media will host its first live coverage of the 2026 U.S. midterm election results on YouTube. The stream will be co-hosted by “The Split” hosts David Mauricio and Austin Julio Broughton and will feature multiple surprise guests.

The announcement follows the company’s partnership with CNN on a town hall with Texas Senate candidate Rep. James Talarico, in which Talarico took questions from CNN anchor Erin Burnett and a live audience of Texas voters. The event drew 1 million views on Jubilee’s YouTube channel alone, according to the company.

Jubilee said political figures have come to its channel this cycle to move beyond standard interview formats and reach young voters. Besides Talarico, they include Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and Rep. Ro Khanna. The company described digital-first platforms as an increasingly common part of the campaign trail as candidates look for ways to engage voters beyond traditional media.

Jubilee moved into news programming in June 2026 with the launch of “The Split.” It joins the company’s existing franchises “Surrounded,” “Middle Ground,” and “Odd One Out,” which bring opposing groups together for structured dialogue. Jubilee, led by CEO Jason Y. Lee, says those flagship series reach more than 380 million monthly views across platforms and draw a highly engaged Gen Z audience.

Elections Draw Creator-Led Broadcasts

Jubilee is one of several creator-led operations planning live election coverage. According to The Guardian, former CNN anchor Jim Acosta will broadcast live from the University of Virginia on YouTube and Substack. Piers Morgan’s “Uncensored,” which has about 4.5 million YouTube subscribers, plans a several-hour show from Washington. Scott MacFarlane, who left CBS News in March, will co-host a live broadcast for the MeidasTouch network.

Rashida Jones, chief executive of “Uncensored” and a former MSNBC president, told The Guardian she expects the midterms to be remembered as “the content creator election.”

Audience data points the same way. A YouGov survey commissioned by the platform SaySo found that nearly two in three U.S. adults receive information about the midterms from online creators. The survey polled 2,000 adults from Sept. 16 to 28. It found 77% of Gen Z and 67% of millennials get midterm information from creators.

Among weekly viewers of creator election content, 47% said creators cover topics or perspectives they do not get from traditional news. Another 39% said creators are more engaging or relatable.
