Residence Adds Influencer Marketing Agency GateMaker to Its Creative Network

Residence, the global network of creative companies, has added GateMaker, a 360-degree Influencer Marketing agency, to its portfolio of independent creative companies.

The deal brings a female-founded, fully remote, 98% female team into the Residence network, which already includes BUCK, Giant Ant, and OK COOL, among others.

GateMaker runs complementary earned and paid influencer programs for brands including Amika, Estée Lauder Companies, Glossier, LG, Milk Makeup, NARS, Reebok, Starbucks, and other Fortune 500 companies. Its earned program builds organic creator relationships, while paid partnerships amplify high-performing voices at scale. Both programs are designed to extend owned media reach and improve the effectiveness of traditional paid channels.

Under the agreement, GateMaker retains its brand, leadership, and creative operations. Residence provides resources and shared services, consistent with the structure it applied when it acquired social-first creative agency OK COOL in January 2026.

Ryan Honey, CEO and co-founder of Residence, said: “GateMaker has built something rare in the Creator and Influencer Economy: real relationships and the discipline to activate them at scale. What drew us was the founders’ conviction behind how they work and their proven results for their clients.”

Ashton Wall, co-founder of GateMaker, said: “It is remarkable what our team and clients have achieved in such a short amount of time. After meeting the other founders in Residence and hearing more about the collective vision, it was clear this was the perfect home to take GateMaker to the next level.”

Amelia Soohoo, co-founder of GateMaker, said: “We were built around trusting great people and giving them the freedom to do their best work. That’s been true from day one, and it stays true as part of Residence.”

Residence, headquartered in Los Angeles, operates across New York, Sydney, London, Amsterdam, Vienna, and Vancouver and counts Airbnb, Microsoft, J.P. Morgan, and Meta among its clients.

PALAZZO and Jones & Spross advised GateMaker on the deal. Terms were not disclosed.
