Kai Cenat’s Fashion Brand Vivet Makes Its Runway Debut at New York Fashion Week
Twitch streamer Kai Cenat‘s clothing brand, Vivet, made its runway debut at New York Fashion Week on September 12, following a nine-month hiatus from streaming during which Cenat says he built the label without outside investors and retained full ownership of the company.
The show took place at Cipriani in Lower Manhattan, according to Complex. The guest list included Lauryn Hill, stylist Law Roach, DDG, Karrahbooo, PlaqueBoyMax, Rakai and Tylil, alongside members of Cenat’s AMP streaming collective. Streamers Ray, Marlon, BruceDropEmOff and fellow AMP member Duke Dennis walked in the show, along with models Giovanna Ramos and Alton Mason.
The collection spanned menswear and womenswear, organized into three categories meant to track Cenat’s design progression, from an early hoodie to floor-length fur coats paired with leather pants. Accessories included Italian leather Cenova bags, reworked streamer backpacks, monogrammed slippers and boots. Select pieces went up for sale on Vivet’s website immediately after the show, following a “see now, buy now” model, per Complex.
“It’s an entire world, and I’m happy I was able to experience it with everybody here,” Cenat said after the show. The show’s invitation described Vivet as born out of “manifestation, knowledge acquisition, discipline, teamwork and having faith.”
Built Without Outside Money
Cenat has said he turned down early investors as he developed Vivet. “I definitely had people like … ‘We heard your story. We want to get on this before it go.’ And I was like, nah … I can do this by myself. So, I own it 100%. I’m lowkey, just am very happy on how everything turned out,” he said, according to Afrotech. He also told The New York Times he wanted Vivet to debut “in my world of streaming, Twitch, YouTube, and everything.”
Cenat announced Vivet in a December 2025 YouTube video before stepping back from streaming that October to focus on the brand, a hiatus he ended with a July 6 video titled “I’m Back.” In between, he documented a trip to Italy to learn denim manufacturing and garment construction, and described the decision in personal terms. He told his mother, in a video posted to his channel, “I’m not depressed, I’m not sad, I’m just having a lot of self-doubt,” and wrote on X that he needed to “take a step back and fully reset.”
Cenat is a member of the AMP streaming collective and the creator behind Streamer University. Forbes estimated his earnings at $8.5 million as of June 16, 2025, ranking him No. 28 on its 2025 list of top-earning creators.
The debut adds a new model to New York Fashion Week’s growing creator presence. Net Influencer reported earlier this month that talent agencies now send dozens of creators to sponsored dinners and brand suites during the week, working largely around the shows rather than in them. Vivet’s runway slot puts a creator-owned label directly on the official calendar rather than in the surrounding sponsorship economy.
