Jake & Logan Paul to Coach Rival Fighters in First Joint Hulu-ESPN Series

Jake and Logan Paul are coaching opposing teams of fighters in a new unscripted competition series that Hulu and ESPN have greenlit together, marking the first time the two Disney-owned outlets have co-ordered a show. The project, titled “Fight Game,” is casting now, with production set for 2027.

As reported by Deadline, the series pits contestants across disciplines including MMA, boxing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, and karate on teams led by the Paul brothers. Eliminations are decided by fights rather than a vote, and fighters choose their own matchups, turning alliances and rivalries into strategic tools. The competition runs until one man and one woman remain.

Production and Casting

The show comes from Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse, the studio behind Netflix’s “Million Dollar Secret” and the “Duck Dynasty” reboot on A&E, and Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). Executive producers include Montgomery, Glenn Hugill and Courtney White from Wheelhouse, along with Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul from MVP, plus Logan Paul, Will Nothacker, Shyam Balse, Josie Lamberth and Charlie Ebersol.

“This series takes everything we love about competitive combat and turns it into a high-stakes survival spectacle for today’s audiences. You choose your opponent, fight to stay, and have nowhere to hide,” the Paul brothers said in a statement. “The fighter-first mentality is changing the industry; we can’t wait to see who has what it takes.”

Bidarian called the project “the latest step forward for MVP as we continue to disrupt sports and entertainment with high-impact, innovative opportunities that define the future of combat sports,” adding that the company has “always believed there is a major, untapped market to bring new audiences into combat sports by telling compelling stories around the athletes.”

Montgomery said Wheelhouse “was created for moments like this, bringing a high concept to life with massive stars who create bold new content, unmistakably their own, that connects authentically with their fans.”

Applications are open at fightgamecasting.com. Eligibility requires applicants to be at least 18, legal U.S. residents, free of felony convictions within the past ten years unless expunged, and not employees or immediate family of employees of the producers or networks involved.

Part of a Broader Buildout

The series lands weeks after MVP merged with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) to form a combined boxing and MMA company, a deal that brought PFL’s roster and its reach across more than 170 countries under MVP’s umbrella. Jake Paul has also expanded well beyond the ring this year: he co-leads Anti Fund alongside Geoffrey Woo, which closed an oversubscribed $100 million growth vehicle in June, pushing the firm’s total assets under management above $180 million with positions in OpenAI, Anduril and SpaceX, among others.

The Hulu-ESPN order also follows a track record of Paul-branded events drawing mainstream audiences well outside typical combat-sports viewership. Netflix’s 2024 broadcast of Jake Paul’s fight against Mike Tyson pulled 108 million viewers globally, a scale the streamer said pushed global internet infrastructure to its limits. Taken together, the fight series reads less as a standalone reality show than as another piece of the Paul brothers’ expanding infrastructure spanning promotion, financing and media production.

The brothers, who have more than 100 million combined social media followers, previously appeared together on HBO Max’s “Paul American.” Both got their start on Vine and YouTube before moving into combat sports: Logan Paul fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition bout and later became WWE’s U.S. champion, while Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson in the 2024 Netflix fight.
