Underscore Talent Names New Partner, Hires BuzzFeed Veteran For Social Strategy

Creator management company Underscore Talent announced two strategic leadership moves to strengthen its position in the creator economy. The company is promoting Nadi Filsoof to Partner, while hiring former BuzzFeed content producer Zack Evans to lead social strategy for its Shorthand Studios division.

Filsoof Elevated to Partner Role

Filsoof, previously a Talent Manager and Brand Strategy Executive at Underscore, now reports directly to co-CEOs Dan Weinstein and Reza Izad. In his new role, Filsoof continues to manage his diverse roster of creators, including Phaith Montoya, Charly Jordan, Lindsay Brewer, Merrick Hanna, Daniela Legarda, Vik White, Jojo Sim, Austin Sprinz, Lexi Hensler, and Jesse Metcalfe, across content strategy, brand partnerships, and intellectual property (IP) development.

“Underscore Talent prides itself on being a management company at the forefront of the social-first evolution, creating opportunities that didn’t exist yesterday for our clients,” Izad said in a statement. “Nadi has proven time and again that he has the strategic vision, not only to guide creators to global success, but to help shape the next generation of talent managers inside Underscore.”

Prior to his promotion, Filsoof brokered partnerships for clients with global brands including Ralph Lauren, Nike, Coca-Cola, Patrón, and Mastercard. His career includes positions at UTA, ICM Partners, Fathom Events, and Mattel, Inc.

Evans to Lead Shorthand Studios’ Public Personalities Business

Zack Evans joins as Vice President of Creative Strategy at Shorthand Studios, Underscore’s recently launched digital production and distribution company. Evans leads social media management and content strategy for celebrities, athletes, and top creators, reporting to Nicholas Jacklin, Partner and President of Business Development at Shorthand Studios.

The hire marks Shorthand Studios’ formal entry into the “Public Personalities” business, a growing segment in the creator economy where digital-first storytelling shapes how traditional talent builds presence with social-native audiences.

“Zack brings an incredible blend of creative instinct and industry experience,” said Jacklin. “He’s one of the rare creatives who has lived at the center of internet culture and understands how to translate that into strategy for celebrities and legacy talent looking to build modern digital brands.”

Evans joins from BuzzFeed, where he produced and directed hundreds of videos viewed by millions. His work has expanded into brand campaigns and content strategy for SubwayTakes, Comedy Central, Toyota, Facebook, Verizon, Netflix, and Cameo.

Company Continues Strategic Growth

These leadership moves follow Underscore’s pattern of strategic growth. Earlier this year, the company promoted Mallory Llewellyn to Partner for its Beauty, Fashion, and Lifestyle division, while also launching its comedy division under Michael Green.

Underscore Talent, launched in 2021, represents global YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Snapchat, gaming, and podcast content creators.
