British comedians Elis James and John Robins have launched Significant Productions, a new production company focused on comedy and entertainment content, alongside long-term producer Dave Masterman.

According to an announcement, the company launched with three podcasts. “The Elis James and John Robins Show,” described as one of the UK’s most popular podcasts, forms the foundation of the slate. “How Do You Cope?”, an award-winning wellbeing podcast, will return later this month, featuring guests discussing personal challenges. “The Socially Distant Sports Bar,” hosted by Elis James, Mike Bubbins, and Steff Garrero, joined the network earlier this year.

The three founders have produced podcasts together for 12 years, winning multiple Gold ARIA Awards, British Podcast Awards, and Audio Production Awards.

Expansion Plans

Significant Productions plans to develop original titles and collaborate with producers, organizations, and media partners, according to the announcement. The company aims to create audio and visual content beyond its initial podcast offerings.

“I love making podcasts, and am so excited at the prospect of Significant Productions creating new and exciting projects from people whose work I admire,” James stated.

Masterman added, “Significant Productions is the company I’ve wanted to create for some time. To be going on this adventure with two of the most respected broadcasters in the industry, and two of my closest friends, is hugely exciting.”

The company will share additional plans in the coming months, according to the announcement.
