The Podcast Show is opening its fifth annual edition on May 20 at London’s Business Design Centre, bringing together creators, platforms, brands, broadcasters, and studios across a two-day program that spans nine stages and more than 450 speakers.
Organizers expect record attendance this year, with delegates traveling from more than 50 countries across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Global and iHeartPodcasts return as headline partners, continuing a strategic partnership that brings iHeart’s podcast shows to the UK and Global Studios’ flagship shows to the U.S.
New Stages Reflect Creator Economy and International Growth
According to the announcement, the 2026 program introduces two new dedicated spaces.
The Creator First Stage, presented in association with Arcade, focuses on fandom, community, audience growth, platform strategy, and creator-led businesses. Jordan Schwarzenberger and Arcade, the team behind UK creator group Sidemen, will host the stage. Sessions include a discussion with presenter, TV personality, and investor Jamie Laing on capturing audience attention in a streaming-first environment and a solo deep dive by Schwarzenberger on niche versus broad content strategies.
The International Stage and Networking Lounge, in association with Podimo, features speakers from Australia, the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, and the Netherlands. Topics include international monetisation, audience growth, and global storytelling. Speakers include Corey Layton, Head of iHeart Strategic Partnerships and Product at ARN; Carrie Lieberman, COO of iHeartPodcasts; Greg Glenday, CEO of Acast; and Morten Strunge, CEO and Founder of Podimo.
Program Highlights
Day-one sessions include a panel on brand alignment with podcasts in 2026, sponsored by iHeartMedia, and a conversation on video podcasting on Apple Podcasts featuring Susie Warhurst, Head of International at Apple Podcasts.
A monetization-focused session, “Show Me The Money: Global Monetisation, Distribution and IP,” sponsored by Podimo, brings together Glenday, Lieberman, Strunge, and Layton alongside host Richard Bacon.
Day-two features a YouTube-sponsored workshop on podcasting and artificial intelligence, a session on launching podcast content on YouTube, and a panel on podcast advertising attribution through Global’s DAX ID platform. A session titled “The $1 Billion Question: Where Is the Next Growth Coming From?” is sponsored by AudioUK.
Jason Carter, co-founder and festival director of The Podcast Show, said the program reflects the current direction of the industry. “This year’s program reflects where the industry is heading: internationally connected, video-first and incredibly influential across entertainment, culture and business,” Carter said in the announcement.
The show also hosts a Creator Advice Lab offering access to industry experts across production, monetisation, audience growth, legal, branding, and video podcasting.
