Quill’s Podcast Analytics Platform CoHost Launches Podcast Growth Tracking Metric

Quill-owned podcast analytics and hosting platform CoHost launched its New Listener Metric, designed to help podcasters measure audience growth more accurately. The feature tracks the number of unique listeners tuning in for the first time across custom timeframes.

“For many podcasters, downloads alone don’t tell the full story,” said Fatima Zaidi, founder and CEO of CoHost and Quill, in a statement. “Unique listeners give users more insight into reach, but we wanted to take it a step further.”

According to a press release, the New Listener Metric aims to help brands and creators gain a more accurate picture of audience growth, separate new listeners to measure loyalty, spot trends following promotional campaigns, and report growth with greater confidence to stakeholders.

Enhanced Marketing Attribution Tools

The launch follows CoHost’s June updates to its Podcast Tracking Links feature, which included Bulk Tracking Links and Duplicate Tracking Links functionalities. Those enhancements allow users to generate up to 10 unique links simultaneously and replicate existing links with a single click.

Podcast Tracking Links create customizable landing pages for episodes or shows that route listeners to platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts while capturing analytics on source performance.

Together, these features form part of CoHost’s suite of analytics tools that include Business to Business (B2B) Analytics, Advanced Audience Demographics, and Episode Consumption Rates.

The New Listener Metric is now available across all CoHost hosting plans. The Podcast Tracking Links feature is available on all Hosting Plans and Prefix Plans.
