Audacy Adds YouTube Video Distribution to Podcast Hosting Platform

Audio content and entertainment company Audacy has expanded its Creator Lab podcast hosting platform to support direct video distribution to YouTube, allowing creators to publish long-form video episodes while maintaining audio monetization across Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other listening platforms.

According to the company’s announcement, the integration allows creators using Creator Lab (Audacy’s free hosting platform that pays podcasters for dynamic ads) to publish to YouTube without disrupting existing audio revenue streams. Creators distribute and monetize audio and video content in parallel through a single workflow.

“Podcasting today is no longer audio or video – it’s both,” said Leah Reis-Dennis, Head of Podcasts at Audacy. “With Creator Lab’s YouTube integration, creators can now seamlessly expand their reach wherever audiences watch or listen while continuing to monetize through our audio advertising network.”

Reis-Dennis described the YouTube feature as “the first step in video distribution for Audacy Creator Lab,” adding that the company plans to explore additional monetization opportunities for partners in the coming months.

The announcement comes as video production becomes increasingly common among podcast creators. According to a Sounds Profitable and Signal Hill Insights study of more than 5,000 podcast creators, 71% of active creators now incorporate video into their workflow, with video producers outnumbering audio-only creators by a ratio of 2.4 to 1.

Audacy operates more than 220 radio stations and reports reaching more than 200 million listeners monthly across its audio properties.
