Red Seat Ventures, a division of Fox Corporation’s Tubi Media Group, has launched Speakeasy, a new platform developed within Fox that combines hosting, distribution, and monetization tools for creators in a single product.

Through an integration with Supercast, a premium subscription platform that Red Seat Ventures recently acquired, creators can also add subscription-based monetization. Both platforms will continue to operate independently.

Speakeasy runs on Fox’s enterprise-grade technology stack. The company states the platform is designed specifically for top creators and enterprises, whose distribution and monetization needs differ from those of traditional podcasters. 

Red Seat Ventures CEO Chris Balfe framed the launch as a response to existing market fragmentation. “Creators are the new media, and they require an AI-enabled platform that meets the growing needs and opportunities of distributing and monetizing across audio, video, and streaming platforms,” Balfe said in a press release. “Speakeasy is built for the next generation of creators.”

The Speakeasy launch follows broader trends the company identifies in the creator media space, including the convergence of audio and video formats, the expansion of premium subscription revenue, and the growth of new distribution platforms adding creator content.

Red Seat Ventures describes itself as a partner to creators, brands, and media companies, offering investment capital, growth strategy, monetization, and management services.
