FIFA Unveils Club World Cup Trophy On iShowSpeed Stream

FIFA President Gianni Infantino appeared on YouTube creator iShowSpeed’s livestream to unveil the official Club World Cup trophy. The surprise appearance occurs during a broadcast of Darren Watkins (IShowSpeed’s) to nearly 40 million of his subscribers, representing a significant digital marketing moment for FIFA’s upcoming tournament.

Infantino demonstrated the trophy’s unique design elements during the stream, showing how the centerpiece of the gold shield rotates using what he describes as a “magic key” allowing it to “shine to the world.”

Watkins responded to the design with humor, suggesting it resembles something from “Greek mythology.”

Tournament Promotion and Celebrity Connection

The FIFA president presented Watkins with the official match ball for the tournament, establishing an agreement that the creator will bring it to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami for the opening game on June 14.

Infantino also suggested Cristiano Ronaldo—Watkins’ favorite player—might make an appearance at the tournament despite his Saudi club Al Nassr not qualifying.

“Cristiano Ronaldo might play in the Club World Cup,” Infantino told viewers. “There are discussions with some clubs.” FIFA confirmed that last-minute transfer signings remain open to all tournament teams, potentially allowing for short-term deals that could reunite Ronaldo with Lionel Messi, whose Inter Miami team received a tournament invitation in October 2024.
