‘Beast Games’ Returns To Prime Video For Season 2 In January With $5M Prize
Prime Video set a January 7, 2026, premiere date for the second season of “Beast Games,” the competition series created and hosted by YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast. According to the official announcement, the season will launch with three episodes available on premiere day, with subsequent episodes releasing weekly through a February 25 finale.
The series will stream exclusively on Prime Video across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Competition Format Changes
Season 2 features 200 participants, a significant reduction from the 1,000 contestants in the first season. The upcoming series introduces a “Strong vs. Smart” concept, dividing competitors into 100 of the world’s strongest athletes and 100 of the planet’s most brilliant minds.
Contestants compete for a $5 million prize, half the amount awarded in the first season’s finale when the grand prize reached $10 million.
First Season Performance
The inaugural season of “Beast Games” became Prime Video’s most-watched unscripted show ever, attracting 50 million viewers within 25 days of its December 19, 2024, premiere. The show reached the number-one position in more than 50 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and India.
Amazon renewed the series for two additional seasons following the first season’s performance, announcing the decision at its annual upfront presentation on May 12, 2025.
Production Team
Sean Klitzner and Matt Apps return as showrunners and executive producers for season two. Tyler Conklin returns as series director. Additional executive producers include Michael Cruz, Jeff Housenbold, Michael Miller, Josh Kulic, and Chris Keiper.
MrBeast co-created the series with Klitzner, Conklin, and Mack Hopkins.
Series Concept
“Beast Games” presents a competition format where hundreds of participants compete in various challenges within an arena called “Beast City.” The first season’s production broke 44 Guinness World Records, including records for most participants in a single reality show season and largest cash prize awarded in a competition show.
Player 831, Jeffrey Randall Allen, won the first season’s $10 million grand prize after selecting the correct briefcase in a final game of chance that doubled the original $5 million prize.
