Cruise YouTuber Emma Le Teace Launches Booking Agency

Emma Le Teace, the cruise content creator known to her audience as “Emma Cruises,” has launched an online travel agency called The Cruise Globe and says she has been “inundated” with booking inquiries since the July 8 debut.

Le Teace has built an audience of more than 750,000 followers across YouTube, Facebook and other platforms since starting her cruise review blog in 2016. She left a full-time job in data development in 2021 to focus on content creation.

The new agency operates alongside her existing Cruise Globe app, a free tool that lets users digitally track their cruise history. The Cruise Globe agency sits within the Global Travel Collection, owned by Internova, which also owns Barrhead Travel, and is ATOL and ABTA bonded in the UK, with equivalent protections in the U.S. Le Teace said the agency has started with a 13-person team, all of whom have previously worked at other cruise agencies or directly for cruise lines.

Speaking to Travel Gossip from aboard Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas, Le Teace said the move followed nearly a decade of hearing from followers about poor cruise experiences. “I would say 80 to 90% of those could have been fixed if the person had a good travel agent, and so I wanted to be able to confidently provide that,” she said, adding that the wait to launch reflected the difficulty of the undertaking: “We’re focusing on fantastic human customer service as we believe that’s the foundation to any great company.”

Le Teace said the agency is already booking a mix of mainstream, luxury and river cruise products, many from the same lines she has featured in her content over the years. She framed the shift as giving her more direct control over outcomes than her prior practice of recommending a single UK travel agent to her audience. “The main difference from just recommending cruises to actually handling the bookings and customer expectations is that I can now help people avoid the problems that I see,” she told Travel Gossip.

Following the launch, Le Teace told newsletter subscribers that her website had gone down twice in the first 24 hours because of demand. It extends a pattern of Le Teace building owned revenue lines beyond brand partnerships and affiliate placements, including the Cruise Globe app and a co-owned custom cruise map product, whose profits she has said go to charity.

The agency launch follows her newsletter announcement to subscribers, in which she described her website going down twice in the first 24 hours due to demand. It also extends a pattern of Le Teace building owned revenue lines beyond brand partnerships and affiliate placements, including the Cruise Globe app and a co-owned custom cruise map product. Separately, she has said she has raised more than $184,000 for two charities through sales of toys modeled on her cat and dog, Captain Hudson and First Mate Rolo.
