Sprout Social Adds Canva Integration To Speed Up Social Media Publishing

Social media management platform Sprout Social has introduced a new integration with Canva that allows users to send completed designs directly to Sprout’s publishing workflow. The integration connects the social media management platform with Canva’s visual communication tools to reduce steps between design creation and social media posting.

The integration preserves captions, tags, profile groups, and scheduled times during the transfer, reducing errors and eliminating extra steps.

“In an era where every brand is competing for attention on social, the ability to seamlessly move from creative concept to published content is a decisive advantage,” said Scott Morris, CMO of Sprout Social, in a press release.

The integration comes as short-form video delivers the highest ROI and receives the most marketing investment in 2025, according to Sprout Social’s research. The company positions the feature as particularly valuable for teams whose designers finalize content in Canva and need a simplified handoff method for approval and publishing.

Enterprise Teams Report Workflow Improvements

Matthew Wallace, Manager of Global Social Media at FedEx, reports smoother workflows from the integration. “Eliminating the extra steps of downloading and uploading saves us valuable time, and having everything flow directly from Canva into Sprout’s Publishing Calendar makes it simple to stay consistent across all of our channels,” Wallace stated.

Anwar Haneef, GM and Head of Ecosystem at Canva, described the integration as “bridging two of the most powerful social media tools to create an even faster path from idea to impact.”

The integration is available today. The company currently serves approximately 30,000 brands with its social media management software.
