MrBeast, Adin Ross, xQc’s Charity Live Stream Raises $12M For Clean Water
MrBeast, Adin Ross, and xQc raised $12.02 million during a 15-hour, 40-minute charity live stream on Kick, surpassing the existing Guinness World Record for most money raised for charity during a livestream.
The August 14 event, which drew approximately 200,000 concurrent viewers, was part of TeamWater’s larger initiative to raise $40 million by the end of August for global clean water projects.
The record for most money raised during a livestream that still stands on Guinness’ website is held by Z Event 2021, which collected $11.97 million over a three-day period from October 29-31, 2021.

TeamWater Initiative
The fundraiser is part of a broader campaign launched by MrBeast and science content creator Mark Rober, described as “the biggest YouTube collaboration” to date. The month-long initiative leverages their combined reach of approximately 2 billion subscribers.
Funds will primarily benefit WaterAid, an international nonprofit that builds community-tailored water infrastructure ranging from solar-powered wells to rainwater harvesting systems. Additional charity partners include GivePower and the Alok Foundation, implementing projects in Colombia, Bangladesh, Ecuador, Malawi, Kenya, and the United States.
The record-breaking stream follows earlier TeamWater fundraising activities. MrBeast raised $2.3 million during his first appearance on Adin Ross’ Kick livestream on August 1. TikTok has also joined the campaign, contributing $1.5 million to WaterAid and introducing a #TeamWater Donation Sticker for user participation.
“Because of this stream, a lot of lives are going to be changed,” MrBeast said during the broadcast. “That is 12 million years of clean water for people in need. Or put differently, that is clean water for hundreds of thousands of humans for decades each.”
The TeamWater campaign builds on MrBeast’s previous environmental initiatives, including #TeamTrees (2019) and #TeamSeas (2021), which reportedly raised over $50 million collectively.
