Ludwig’s Streamer Games Break Viewership Records

Ludwig Ahgren’s “2025 Streamer Games” set a new high-water mark for creator-driven competitive events, drawing over 330,000 concurrent viewers during its August 16-17 broadcast and exceeding the event’s previous peak of 175,500 viewers in 2024, per Sports Illustrated.

The Red Bull-sponsored competition, held at Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, California, featured 40 content creators competing in 14 distinct challenges. Ludwig acknowledged the milestone on social media, noting it was “cool to see even as an unc we can run an event people care about.”

Team Emily Claims Championship

ExtraEmily’s team, consisting of Sambucha, MISTER ARTHER, iiTzTimmy, and Mari, emerged as the 2025 champions, with Team Vanilla securing second place.

Team Emily built their lead through strong performances in multiple events, including Archery (won by iiTzTimmy), Bridge Joust (MISTER ARTHER), and the Pentathlon.

The competition included returning events like Gymnastics, Tablecloth Pull, Simon Says, and the Pentathlon, alongside new additions such as Archery and Volleyball. The expanded format allowed for both individual and team-based competitions throughout the weekend.

Notable Moments and Brand Integration

The event featured several brand-integrated segments, including a drone delivery of Red Bull to the host during the Archery competition. FaZe Clan member Emiru announced her signing as a Red Bull athlete during the proceedings, further highlighting the energy drink brand’s involvement in the creator economy.

The competition achieved higher viewership than Ludwig’s previous marquee events, including his Chessboxing tournament. Following the success of this year’s competition, Ludwig confirmed the Streamer Games will return in 2026.

This performance builds on the 2024 inaugural tournament, which averaged 135,000 concurrent viewers across its 13-hour broadcast and accumulated 1.75 million hours watched.
