Iggy Azalea Invests in Fanvue Parent Company SHIFT, Joins Creator Advisory Board

Grammy-nominated rapper Iggy Azalea has invested in SHIFT, the AI infrastructure company behind the creator monetization platform Fanvue, and will join Fanvue’s newly formed Creator Advisory Board as a founding member.

The investment backs SHIFT’s build-out of AI infrastructure for the Creator Economy, including payment channels, creator tools, and financial products, according to the company’s announcement. Azalea, who has built a portfolio spanning technology, cryptocurrency, and telecommunications, framed the move as a bet on where leverage in the Creator Economy is heading.

“I’ve spent my career watching the value creators generate flow everywhere, except to the actual creators themselves,” Azalea said. “Every now and then, a Stripe or a Shopify comes along and changes who holds the leverage. I’m backing SHIFT to be that company for the Creator Economy.”

Fanvue, SHIFT’s flagship product, reported an annualized run rate of over $200 million in July 2026, five months after passing $100 million. That $100 million milestone came alongside a $22 million Series A round in January, led by Inner Circle with participation from Moonbug founder René Rechtman, the founders of Marshmallow, and general partners from other European venture firms. At the time, Fanvue reported 250,000 creators and 17 million monthly active users, with 93% of creators using at least one of its proprietary AI tools.

Fanvue has also signed a run of high-profile names to the platform, including Cardi B, Swiss footballer Alisha Lehmann, WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick, and football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Fanvue co-founder and CEO Will Monange said AI is expanding what creators can monetize beyond audience attention. “For 20 years, creators could only really sell one thing, which was their audience’s attention, and advertisers were the only buyer,” he said. “AI removes that ceiling.” Co-founder and COO Joel Morris said Azalea’s backing signals confidence in that direction: “AI is fundamentally changing how people make money online, and global talent like Iggy investing in SHIFT underlines the belief in our vision.”

The announcement also positioned the deal within a broader pattern of creators and athletes taking equity stakes in the infrastructure around them, pointing to Beast Industries’ recently announced global creator marketplace and Jake and Logan Paul’s Anti Fund, which channels the brothers’ following into tech fundraising. Fanvue said additional investors and Creator Advisory Board members are expected to join later in 2026.
