GigaStar Raises $4M+ for Creator Economy Platform

GigaStar, a startup that connects YouTube creators with investors, has reported raising more than $4 million from more than 2,700 investors in its recently closed Wefunder campaign. The company hit $1.5 million within the first 12 hours of its June 18 launch, a milestone Wefunder describes as the fastest raise on its platform in 2025.

“That kind of momentum is rare,” said Wefunder Account Manager Jake Suggs. “It speaks volumes about the strength of GigaStar’s vision and the appetite investors have for the Creator Economy.”

The company combines its community crowdfunding campaign with a U.S. Securities Law Regulation D offering for institutional investors as part of a $10 million Series A round. Following the performance of the community campaign, GigaStar reduced its institutional allocation to $6 million.

“GigaStar is building the Wall Street of the Creator Economy, with a primary market where fans invest in YouTube channels and a secondary market where individual and institutional investors can trade,” said CEO Hazem Dawani.

Growth and Regulatory Framework

The platform operates through GigaStar Market, an SEC-registered crowdfunding portal, and its subsidiary, GigaStar Securities LLC, which recently received approval to operate as a broker-dealer and alternative trading system for Digital Asset Securities tied to creator revenue.

The company has facilitated 27 YouTube channel offerings since its founding in 2022, raising more than $4.7 million for creators and, according to company statements, distributing more than $560,000 to investors. Its investor base now exceeds 22,000 accounts.

Proceeds from the Series A will support the expansion of sales and marketing, strengthening the broker-dealer infrastructure, and launching a secondary market targeted for Q4. The company recently became a YouTube Creator Services Provider (CSP), a program designation that formalizes its work with YouTube.
