Atmosfy Launches Creator-Powered Travel Rewards, Securing Capital One Backing For Social Discovery Platform
Atmosfy has announced the launch of “Atmosfy Cash,” a new travel rewards program offering users up to $100 monthly in travel funds, following investment from Capital One Ventures. The program, launching July 1, provides 10% cash back at 3.5 million Expedia-powered hotels worldwide.
The social discovery platform has partnered with major brands, including Expedia and Tock, to power its rewards system. The program operates through “Atmosfy Wallet,” the company’s new financial infrastructure that enables GPS-verified impact tracking and native checkout capabilities.
Atmosfy also offers the All-Access Pass, which delivers instant perks while fostering long-term loyalty. “Atmosfy Cash” represents the company’s expansion from content discovery to commerce, enabling users to convert engagement into travel benefits across millions of hotels and destinations.
“We’re reshaping travel, and helping people discover more of the world,” Michael Ebel, CEO of Atmosfy and former Instagram executive, wrote on LinkedIn.
Atmosfy reports 250 million experiences discovered across its platform spanning 10,000 cities and 150 countries. The company positions itself as a video discovery platform for Gen Z travelers, emphasizing authentic video content over traditional reviews.
According to company data, travel bookings on the platform have increased threefold year-over-year in 2025. The platform integrates GPS verification to track real-world impact, with creators like @dejenereats driving thousands of verified visits to businesses.
Behavioral Shifts Driving Platform Strategy
Atmosfy’s market research indicates significant shifts in travel planning behavior among its core demographic. Users are three times more likely to purchase after watching video content, with 56% relying on friends and creators for real-world decisions.
The platform reports 30% of Gen Z travelers now book flights less than a week in advance, while 44% make last-minute hotel bookings. These shortened planning cycles align with Atmosfy’s instant rewards system.
Creator Economy Integration
The platform highlights its creator network as central to its business model. Featured creator @dejenereats, a New York-based food content producer, has generated over 100,000 views across 283 cities and supported 2,500 businesses through the platform.
Atmosfy describes its technology as “the infrastructure for real-world intent” through hyper-local feeds and geo-tagged videos. The company reports 1.5 million views and 5,000 GPS-verified visits during EDC Las Vegas 2025.
