Steven Bartlett’s Flightcast Now Automates YouTube-to-Spotify Distribution

Flightcast, the video-first podcast hosting platform co-founded by “The Diary of a CEO” host Steven Bartlett, has announced an automated YouTube-to-Spotify distribution offering priced at $100 per month. The tool lets creators publish existing YouTube video catalogs to Spotify and automatically distribute new uploads to both platforms.

Creators can connect a YouTube account to Flightcast and select individual videos, playlists, or their entire catalog. Flightcast then publishes the content to Spotify, and future YouTube uploads are syndicated automatically. The company said titles, descriptions, thumbnails, chapters, and links are adapted for Spotify, and that creators can get their first videos on Spotify within minutes of setup.

“YouTube creators are sitting on years of video that could have a second life on Spotify,” said Rox Codes, Flightcast’s co-founder and CEO. “Spotify now pays video creators a share of premium subscription revenue through the new Spotify Partner Program. As a result, there’s a lot of appetite for good video content, and potentially massive untapped revenue for these creators.”

Creators who use the offering keep access to Flightcast’s broader hosting and distribution tools, which cover distribution to Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, and Amazon Music, as well as audio versions on other podcast platforms.

A Wider Video Push

The launch follows a series of video-focused releases from Flightcast this year. In September, the company expanded its advertising tools so publishers can run a single video ad campaign across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and RSS-based video feeds. In May, it added full video support for Apple Podcasts and HTTP Live Streaming publishing for all customers, which followed Apple’s February announcement of a video podcast experience across iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro, and the web.

Flightcast operates within Steven.com, Bartlett’s media holding company. Steven.com closed an eight-figure funding round at a $425 million valuation in October 2025, with backers including Slow Ventures, Apeiron Investment Group, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Alex Hormozi. Bartlett retained more than 90% ownership in the round.

The Spotify focus comes as the two platforms compete for podcast audiences. Edison Research reported in July that 29% of weekly podcast listeners aged 15 and older in the United Kingdom name YouTube as the service they use most for podcasts, ahead of Spotify at 28%. It was the first time YouTube had taken the top spot in the UK. YouTube first overtook Spotify in the U.S. nearly two years earlier.
