Motion Society Names Former Spotify & Meta Creator Partnerships Lead Chanel Simmons as U.S. Managing Director
Motion Society, a content distribution partner for creators and IP owners, has named Chanel Simmons as Managing Director, U.S., putting her in charge of growth in the market that already accounts for roughly 70% of the company’s creator business.
Simmons spent more than a decade helping build businesses behind creators. At Fullscreen, she led YouTube syndication and a strategist team responsible for channel performance across a 70,000-creator network. She went on to lead content strategy and distribution across FaZe Clan’s owned channels and 50-creator roster, then moved to Meta before most recently leading Digital Culture content partnerships at Spotify, where she helped onboard creators and creator service providers, expanding their YouTube programming onto the platform.
“During my time at Spotify, Motion Society consistently stood out,” Simmons said. “The team understood the needs of both creators and platforms and came to us with a deeply informed point of view on how creator content could succeed on Spotify. What impressed me most was the combination of strong creatives, platform expertise, and the technology they built that allows their team to focus more time on strategy and the content itself.”
Founded in 2022 by Martin Belotti, Thomas Subra, Jean-Loup Fraudin, and Lucas Falga, Motion Society works with more than 650 creators and IP owners, including Jesser, Stephen Sharer, and Lizzy Capri. The company reports driving more than 8 billion monthly views and distributing more than 30,000 videos each month across more than 20 digital platforms and streaming TV services. Belotti, who also creates content as “LADB Restoration,” said the company grew out of his own experience trying to scale a channel past one million subscribers without giving up quality or control.
“Chanel’s expertise and knowledge are an invaluable addition to our team as we continue to build on that opportunity, and we’re thrilled to have her lead our U.S. business,” said Subra.
