eBay will host “The NYC Edit Market,” a three-day in-person retail pop-up in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood, from April 17-19. The market will run daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 489 Broome St. and feature pre-loved items sourced from the closets of contributors to “The NYC Edit,” a recently launched eBay digital guide highlighting what style insiders in New York are buying and selling on the platform.
eBay has partnered with 10 fashion influencers, stylists, and creators based in New York City to produce “The NYC Edit,” per Chain Store Age. Contributors include stylist and fashion editor Dara Allen, actor and comedian Owen Thiele, and fashion writer Emilia Petrarca. Their items will be sold alongside inventory from top eBay sellers.
The assortment spans a range of price points and categories, from a Prada runway suit set to Doc Martens platform oxfords.
On-Site Listing Stations and Verification
Guests who arrive without an active listing can use dedicated on-site stations to photograph and upload items in real time. Select items listed at the market will appear on “The NYC Edit” hub starting April 17. Items that qualify will go through eBay’s “Authenticity Guarantee” verification process before reaching buyers.
The pop-up also includes a charm bar for creating custom accessories and color analysis sessions for shoppers.
A portion of proceeds from the market will benefit Custom Collaborative, a non-profit that trains, mentors, and advocates for low-income immigrant women seeking careers in fashion.
