MrBeast Hires Tech Veteran To Lead Brand Partnership Strategy

YouTube creator Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, has appointed Beau Avril as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Media & Brand Partnerships. The hire comes as MrBeast’s business empire seeks a $5 billion valuation and expands beyond YouTube content creation.

Avril joins MrBeast after serving as Director of Global Product Solutions for Agency & Accounts at TikTok, where he worked on the Global Product Solutions & Operations leadership team. His tenure at TikTok began in March 2024 as Director of Global Product Solutions for Brand & Video.

Prior to TikTok, Avril spent two years as Director of Product Marketing at Meta. From 2017 to 2019, he served as YouTube’s Global Head of Sales & Business Operations for FameBit, the influencer marketing platform that Google acquired in 2016 and later renamed BrandConnect. 

At FameBit, Avril oversaw business operations, expanded the platform from self-service to full-service, and secured partnerships with brands including Hershey’s, Nike, Calvin Klein, Procter & Gamble, and Warner Bros.

Growing the Empire

Avril’s appointment comes amid MrBeast’s business expansion. The creator’s holding company, which includes ventures such as chocolate brand Feastables and snack company Lunchly, generated over $400 million in sales last year.

MrBeast recently hit 400 million subscribers on YouTube, becoming the first individual creator to reach this milestone. According to him, his Amazon Prime Video series “Beast Games” became the platform’s most-watched unscripted show, reaching 50 million viewers in 25 days after its December 2024 premiere.

In a LinkedIn post, Avril states his role will combine “creator-driven media, innovative brand partnerships, product marketing, cross-platform solutions, and building high-performing organizations.”
