YouTube Names 25-Creator Global Roster for FIFA World Cup 2026 Coverage
YouTube has selected 25 creators to cover the FIFA World Cup 2026™, assembling a group that collectively reaches more than 350 million subscribers. The platform unveiled the roster on June 10 as part of its preferred platform partnership with FIFA, with creators scheduled to attend matches across the tournament.
Content from the group will span tactical breakdowns, pitch challenges, host city exploration, local food culture, and behind-the-scenes access. YouTube said the roster, combined with official media partner broadcasts on the platform, will help reach a broader, more diverse audience and create a more connected experience for fans and broadcasters.
The lineup covers multiple regions, including creators from the United States, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Canada, Belgium, and the UAE. Their content formats include sports analysis, lifestyle and travel, food, comedy, and cultural storytelling.
Several creators on the roster carry athletic backgrounds. Kwakyoongy, a South Korean creator, holds an Olympic medal in short-track speed skating and produces sports content. Deestroying played soccer before shifting to content creation and described the World Cup assignment as “a full-circle moment I’ve been waiting my whole life for.” The Sidemen, a UK-based group with roots in football content, said the sport “has always been at the core” of what they do. Mexican creator Sonrixs said he trained throughout his life to represent Mexico in athletic competition, but will instead produce YouTube Shorts at the tournament.
Brazilian creator Neagle said he will follow Brazil’s road to a sixth World Cup title in person, “living every moment up close.” Viniblogger, also from Brazil, framed the assignment in generational terms, noting that his grandfather, his father, and he each support different teams. “During the World Cup, rivalry turns into unity,” he said. Max the Meat Guy, a food-focused U.S. creator, said he plans to “hunt down the best food every country has to offer.” Canadian creator Jeenie Weenie, a former flight attendant, said she will be “trading the galley for the stadium stands.”
YouTube FIFA Creator Cup
Alongside the creator roster, YouTube announced the first YouTube FIFA Creator Cup, a live exhibition match scheduled for July 12 in New York City and streaming globally only on YouTube. The event will feature YouTube creators, elite athletes, and celebrities. YouTube had not disclosed team captains, player details, or additional information about the match format at the time of publication.
Platform Access and Competitive Context
Under its preferred platform agreement with FIFA, YouTube will allow official media partners to live stream the first 10 minutes of every match on their YouTube channels. A select number of full matches will also be available for streaming on YouTube.
TikTok holds a parallel preferred platform agreement with FIFA for the same tournament. In May, TikTok announced a 30-creator “Creator Correspondents” program spanning four continents, 11 countries, and 22 cities. TikTok creators will receive access to bus arrivals, training sessions, press conferences, and matchday events, with content distributed through FIFA World Cup 2026 Hubs powered by TikTok GamePlan. TikTok’s partnership, established in January, also extends to monetization through its premium advertising solutions and broader creator access to FIFA archival footage for co-creation.
