UTA Signs Outdoor Creator Steven Rinella for Brand Deals, TV

United Talent Agency (UTA) has signed outdoor lifestyle creator Steven Rinella and his multiplatform media company, MeatEater, for representation across digital video, audio, brand partnerships, television, and live touring.

As Variety reports, UTA will seek commercial and creative opportunities for Rinella and MeatEater, which operates across video, podcasts, publishing, commerce, and live experiences. The signing coincides with production on the 14th season of MeatEater’s flagship series, set to premiere this fall.

A Growing Media Footprint

Founded in 1999, MeatEater reaches audiences through a 1.8 million-subscriber YouTube channel. Season 14 of the series will reach its widest distribution to date, spanning a branded FAST channel on Samsung TV, Amazon, Roku, Dish’s Sling TV, and Vizio; ad-supported VOD platforms Tubi and the Roku Channel; and linear television. The company also plans to announce expanded FAST channel offerings and a new live tour in the coming months.

MeatEater’s podcast network programmed 17 series across nine feeds in 2025, producing an average of eight hours of video weekly for its YouTube podcast channel. “The MeatEater Podcast,” which Rinella hosts twice weekly, ranks in the top five in sports podcasts and leads Apple’s wilderness chart. “Bear Grease” holds a top-40 position in sports podcasts, and “Blood Trails,” the company’s first true-crime podcast, is its newest release.

Oren Rosenbaum, partner and co-head of UTA Creators, said MeatEater has “built a deeply loyal community” under Rinella. “We’re excited to partner with a brand whose audience doesn’t just follow the lifestyle; they live it,” he added.

MeatEater CEO Jason Bergsman said the partnership will give fans “more opportunities to engage with the MeatEater brand wherever they watch, listen, read, and gather.”

Rinella has written 10 books and released six audiobooks. He and MeatEater continue to work with Marc Gerald at Europa Content for publishing.

The deal extends a period of creator signing activity at UTA. In May, the agency also signed beauty and lifestyle creator Golloria George for global representation across digital media, brand partnerships, and strategic business ventures.
