Tomorrowland 2025 Sets Record As TikTok’s Biggest Live Event Ever
Tomorrowland 2025 has broken all previous records for live event viewership on TikTok, attracting more than 74 million unique viewers across its LIVE streams during the two-weekend electronic music festival. This figure shattered the previous record of 16 million viewers set by Tomorrowland on TikTok in 2023.
As Tomorrowland’s official content partner for the year, TikTok provided comprehensive coverage of the festival through 24/7 LIVE streams from the MainStage, Freedom Stage, and OneWorldRadio. The platform also hosted top DJs and producers at its Content Studio, with all content aggregated in a dedicated #Tomorrowland in-app hub.
The festival generated more than 2.4 billion views of #Tomorrowland content during the two-week period. Tomorrowland’s TikTok account gained over 1.9 million new followers, bringing its total to 9.2 million and cementing its position as the largest festival account on the platform.
Artists participating in TikTok’s Tomorrowland coverage collectively gained 3 million new followers and accumulated over 580 million video views across their festival content. The most-watched artists on TikTok LIVE included Charlotte de Witte, who made history as the first artist to perform twice on the MainStage in a single day, Martin Garrix, who headlined both Sundays, and Alan Walker.
SoundOn and Tomorrowland Music Collaboration
The partnership extended beyond content creation to music production through a collaboration between SoundOn, TikTok’s distribution service, and Tomorrowland Music. Their songwriter camp in Brussels, Belgium produced original tracks specifically for the festival.
The first release, “Heartbreak Melody” by Alan Walker featuring FAANGS, generated 4 million streams in two weeks and became the most-saved song using TikTok’s Add to Music App feature among all Tomorrowland performers. A second track, “Same Thing” by Ely Oaks & LAVINIA, reached 1 million streams in its first week, with additional releases planned.
Electronic Music on TikTok
The success reflects electronic music’s growing prominence on TikTok, where posts using electronic music as soundtracks now outpace those tagged for indie and alternative for the first time in 2024. Content tagged with #electronicmusic has accumulated over 36 billion views on the platform.
The Tomorrowland partnership builds on TikTok’s expanding influence in the music industry, with the platform’s year-long agreement encompassing other Tomorrowland properties, including Unity at Sphere, Tomorrowland Brazil, and Tomorrowland Winter.
