TikTok Partners With LinkU To Empower Creator-Fan Relationships In Southeast Asia

LinkU has announced a new collaboration with TikTok, bringing together over 340 creators and publishers across Southeast Asia and reaching a combined audience of more than 700 million views. The partnership launches as Southeast Asia’s digital economy reaches an estimated $263 billion in GMV with $122 billion in revenue, according to recent AnyMind Group research.

The initiative begins with a focus on Indonesia, identified as a key hub for digital creativity in the region.

The new platform offers features designed to facilitate direct relationships between creators and their audiences. These include private one-on-one chats with Southeast Asian creators, members-only livestreams and exclusive content, fan recognition systems with leaderboard rewards, and creator-led experiences that extend beyond standard content formats.

“We’re not just launching a platform—we’re activating a cultural shift,” said Myrtle Anne Ramos, founder of Block Tides and newly appointed CEO of LinkU, in a press release. “Southeast Asia is home to some of the most passionate fans and vibrant creators. LinkU exists to turn that passion into a powerful connection.”

Regional Digital Market

The partnership enters a market where video formats consistently outperform other content types throughout the consumer journey. AnyMind’s research indicates that influencer videos achieve high engagement at the awareness stage, while demonstration videos (59%), user reviews (56%), and influencer videos (54%) are most preferred during the consideration phase.

With mobile penetration at 117.8% and internet penetration at 78.2% across Southeast Asia, the region’s young, tech-savvy population drives digital growth. Approximately 55-65% of internet users spend on digital products, creating fertile ground for the expansion of the creator economy.

LinkU positions itself as a complementary service to TikTok in the region, focusing on “intimate, one-to-one connections between fans and creators, built on trust, authenticity, and exclusive access.”
