TikTok Launches Live Podcast Series With T-Mobile
TikTok has launched a live podcast series, “TikTok In The Mix,” in partnership with T-Mobile, as the platform continues to build its music and fan engagement programming.
The four-episode first season will stream live on TikTok’s account (@TikTok) in 30-minute installments. TikTok described the series as “authentic and candid conversations” with artists shaping music and culture, and positioned the project to connect artists with audiences on the platform.
The first episode aired on December 11, with singer-songwriter Demi Lovato as the guest. Lovato discussed the recording process for her latest album, Not That Deep; participated in a segment called the “Booth of Truth” focused on the meanings behind some of her lyrics; and addressed a rumored collaboration with Zara Larsson.
TikTok said Jack Coyne of Trackstar will host the series and will “sit down with a different artist for a candid chat about their work, their world, and the TikTok trends they’ve helped ignite.”
Sponsorship and Production
TikTok said Season 1 is co-produced and sponsored by T-Mobile. The companies will distribute the episodes through live streams on TikTok, with the series designed to reach viewers “wherever they are,” according to the announcement.
Jack Coyne, the host of “TikTok In The Mix,” said TikTok has become central to music and artist discovery. “Sitting down with some of the biggest artists, hearing how they think and create – it’s pretty special,” Coyne said.
Tracy Gardner, TikTok’s Global Head of Music Business Development, framed the series as a music discovery play. “TikTok is the home of music discovery – a place where artists and fans meet,” Gardner said.
