The ‘Love Island’ Effect

Three of Season 8’s four finalist couples landed in July’s top 10:

  • Trinity Tatum (winner): +2.35M
  • Aniya Harvey (runner-up): +1.63M
  • Melanie Moreno (third place): +1.17M

Fourth-place finishers Kayda Bosse and Zach Georgiou didn’t chart. Together, the three finalists who did collectively added just over 5.1 million followers in July, per HypeAuditor’s tally.

Creators Building Without a Moment

Every account in July’s top 10 has an identifiable external event that plausibly explains a substantial share of its growth. Trinity Tatum, Aniya Harvey, and Melanie Moreno are new to the public eye, but their growth rides “Love Island USA’s” built-in audience, voting mechanics, and post-villa press cycle, not an independently built following. Eseniia Mikheeva’s gain traces to a single produced broadcast slot, a World Cup halftime show, rather than her own channel or content strategy. None of that is organic creator growth in the usual sense: it’s a network or a tournament’s infrastructure, temporarily lent to a new face.

No account in this month’s list clearly built its gains through sustained, independent publishing with no external moment behind it. That’s a notable shift from months when at least one or two entries showed that kind of organic, creator-driven climb.
