Royal Mail Becomes Primary Delivery Partner For TikTok Shop UK In E-Commerce Push

Royal Mail and TikTok Shop announced a partnership positioning the postal service as the primary delivery partner for the social commerce platform in the United Kingdom. The collaboration connects Britain’s national postal carrier with one of the fastest-growing e-commerce channels, providing enhanced delivery options for the platform’s expanding base of small business sellers.

The agreement gives TikTok Shop’s more than 200,000 UK sellers access to Royal Mail’s extensive delivery network, which includes nearly 24,000 parcel points nationwide. Sellers gain competitive shipping rates, tracking capabilities, and compensation coverage through the partnership, which officially launched on October 10.

“We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with TikTok Shop and to support the incredible ecosystem of entrepreneurs on the platform,” said Saadi Al-Soudani, Chief Commercial Officer at Royal Mail, in the announcement. “By becoming the primary carrier in the UK, we are making it easier for sellers to connect with their customers through our extensive and trusted nationwide network.”

Recent Nielsen IQ research identified TikTok Shop as the UK’s fastest-growing online retailer in 2024, with a 131% annual increase in shoppers and a 180% year-on-year rise in revenue. The platform also hosts over 6,000 Shop LIVE broadcasts daily in the UK.

Jan Wilk, Head of TikTok Shop UK, stated: “Our goal is to provide British businesses with the tools they need to thrive. This partnership with Royal Mail combines our platform’s reach with a delivery network that is synonymous with trust and reliability.”

Platform Growth Drives Social Commerce

TikTok now reaches more than 30 million monthly UK users, making Britain the largest user community in Europe. The company hosts more than 1.5 million UK businesses and is expanding its British presence with a £140 million investment in infrastructure, including a new 135,000 square foot office in London’s Barbican district set to open in 2026.

Research from Oxford Economics finds that small and medium enterprises on TikTok contribute an additional £1.6 billion to the UK economy while supporting 32,000 jobs. TikTok also highlights that beauty and fashion remain among the most active categories for social commerce, with thousands of UK sellers driving growth through shoppable videos and LIVE broadcasts.

Consumer Trends Drive Platform Popularity

TikTok’s recently published “UK Shopping Report” highlights how the platform influences consumer purchasing across fashion, beauty, tech, and home sectors. The report identifies significant sales spikes triggered by cultural events, with items such as collectible POP MART vinyl toys generating 1.1 billion video views in 2025.

“Shopping in the UK has evolved significantly in recent years,” noted Paul Mears, Head of Retail, Global Business Solutions at TikTok UK. “Shoppable videos and LIVE shopping are reigniting personal connections and real-time interactions, once core to traditional in-store experience.”

The Royal Mail partnership represents a significant development for Britain’s growing creator economy and digital marketplace, providing enhanced logistics support for the diverse range of sellers now operating through social commerce channels.
