Digital Media Company Raptive Crosses $4B In Publisher Payouts
Raptive, the ad management platform for independent websites, has paid $4 billion to its publisher partners to date, the company announced.
Raptive reports that its network now includes more than 6,500 premium sites, reaching 223 million unique monthly visitors and 1.3 billion social platform followers. The network reaches 97% of U.S. moms and 9 in 10 women monthly, while also engaging 7 in 10 U.S. men and 3 in 5 Gen Z consumers.
“The $4 billion milestone is a powerful validation of what independent media can achieve at scale,” said Michael Sanchez, CEO of Raptive. “Our leadership across categories and audiences positions us – and our publishers – to shape the future of digital publishing amid ongoing industry uncertainty.”
AI Scraping and Creator Protection
The payout announcement follows Raptive’s October launch of a “Terms of Content Use” framework that prohibits AI systems from crawling or collecting content from sites within its network. More than 5,600 Raptive creators have adopted the framework. The company also conducted a study from mid-2024 to mid-2025 examining the impact of blocking AI bots on creator traffic and search rankings, finding no significant decrease in traffic among participating creators.
“Across our network, creators used to get 60% of their traffic from Google search. That number is starting to fall, and it’s accelerating,” Raptive Chief Growth Officer Marc McCollum told Net Influencer in November 2025.
Raptive states that it also makes its protective content-use language available to publishers outside its network.
