Video Intelligence Platform Plot Launches AI Tool to Vet Creators by Analyzing Their Video Content
Plot, a New York-based video intelligence platform, has launched Creator Intelligence, an AI-powered product that lets brands source and vet creators based on the content of their videos rather than static profile data.
The tool analyzes what creators say, show, use, and do on camera, then deploys an AI agent to vet each one against a brand’s specific criteria by reviewing their content history, user-generated content about them, and other information across the web. Plot said the process traditionally requires hours of manual research.
The product was designed to replace the standard creator-database model, which relies on follower counts, engagement rates, audience demographics, categories, keywords, and hashtags, with search based on video content itself. Marketers can query in natural language using campaign-specific criteria instead of predefined filters, and the tool can surface creators who use or discuss a brand or product without tagging it, hashtagging it, or mentioning it in a caption.
Creator Intelligence includes three functions beyond discovery and vetting: finding brand and product affinity that isn’t explicitly tagged, searching within creator content for products, topics, behaviors, and communities, and tracking creator content and untagged UGC, including organic posts that follow product gifting or seeding.
The launch builds on Plot’s existing platform for community, reporting, and research, and follows the company’s $10 million seed round in June, which brought its total funding to $14 million and was co-led by XYZ Venture Capital and Mischief Ventures. Plot’s customers include Visa, Mastercard, PepsiCo, Fenty Beauty, Benefit Cosmetics, CAVA, Intuit and Warby Parker. At the time of the seed round, Plot had said it planned to release creator sourcing and deep research features throughout the second and third quarters of 2026, of which Creator Intelligence is a part.
Co-founder and CEO Megan Duong, a former social marketing lead at Apple, started Plot in 2022 after working with text-based listening tools that could not process untagged or short-form video content.
