Streamlabs has released its Intelligent Streaming Agent, an AI assistant that helps livestreamers produce broadcasts with reduced complexity. The technology, developed using NVIDIA and Inworld technologies, integrates into Streamlabs Desktop as a cohost, producer, and technical expert, the company announced at Logitech G PLAY 2025. 

Inworld provides the cognitive engine that processes inputs through the Streamlabs API, enabling the assistant to understand context and respond intelligently in real time.

AI-Powered Cohosting and Production

The assistant features a 3D avatar powered by NVIDIA RTX technologies that can interact with viewers when chat activity slows and answer questions without streamers needing to exit their games. The avatar utilizes NVIDIA ACE Audio2Face SDK for animations and NVIDIA DLSS technology for performance enhancement, and includes customizable personality options, allowing creators to tailor how their virtual cohost interacts with audiences.

“With NVIDIA ACE Audio2Face integrated into Streamlabs, creators can bring lifelike avatars and real-time intelligence to their streams, enabling them to deliver more engaging content right from their NVIDIA GeForce RTX AI PCs,” said Jason Paul, VP of GeForce Platform Technology at NVIDIA, in a blog post.

The system’s production capabilities include automated scene changes and audio or video cue management. It also supports basic voice commands, enabling streamers to switch scenes or trigger actions hands-free. These features allow for customizable triggers that streamers can configure to achieve specific production outcomes during broadcasts.

Technical Support and Real-Time Processing

Beyond production assistance, the agent provides technical support by answering questions and troubleshooting errors within Streamlabs. The system employs real-time vision models accelerated by NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs to detect gameplay events such as eliminations, victories, and health drops with low latency.

Availability and Technical Requirements

First previewed at CES in January, the Intelligent Streaming Agent now appears in Streamlabs Desktop. The system operates on a GeForce RTX GPU for local processing of game events, which reduces latency for producer and avatar reactions.

According to earlier announcements, the tool will function on a freemium model, offering users one to two hours of free avatar time. At launch, only one interactive avatar can be used per stream, and while initially supporting Fortnite, the companies plan to expand game compatibility in future updates. The assistant is compatible with all major streaming platforms, though some advanced features may be limited during the initial rollout.

The assistant builds upon NVIDIA’s previous livestreaming enhancements, including improved encoding through the NVIDIA encoder, audio and video quality improvements via NVIDIA Broadcast, and distribution optimizations through Twitch and OBS Enhanced Broadcast features.
